SRV Records in Cloud Hosting
The Hepsia CP, bundled with each and every Linux cloud hosting we offer, will provide you with an easy means to create any DNS record you need for a domain name or a subdomain within your account. The easy-to-use interface is much more simple in comparison with what other companies offer and you will not have to do anything more than to fill a couple of boxes. For a new SRV record, you will need to log in, check out the DNS Records section and then click the "New" button. Within the small pop-up that'll show up, you have to type in the service, protocol and port info. You can also set the priority and weight values, which should be between 1 and 100, which will matter if you have at least 2 servers dealing with the exact same service. If you use a machine from a different company, they could also ask you to set a TTL value different from the standard 3600 seconds. This value outlines how long the newly created record will remain operational after you modify it in the future.
SRV Records in Semi-dedicated Hosting
As we know how frustrating it may be to manage DNS records, we're going to give you an easy-to-use DNS management tool as part of our custom Hepsia CP, so when you host your domain addresses in a semi-dedicated server account from us, you will be able to set up an SRV record with no complications. We have a step-by-step guide, which will make things much easier. Using an intuitive interface, you will have to enter the information that the other company has supplied you with - protocol, port number and service. Unless they've given you specific directions to modify the priority and / or the weight values, you may leave these two options as they are and your new record will go live in a few minutes. The Time To Live option (TTL) may also be set to a custom value, but typically the standard value of 3600 seconds is used for most records. This value displays the time the record will continue existing after it's changed or removed.
